Steven Stamkos moves on from Tampa Bay Lightning, signs new 4-year deal
After 16 years, and 2 Stanley Cups, Steven Stamkos is done with the Tampa Bay Lightning and officially moving on to the Nashville Predators.
After attempting to come to terms with the Lightning the relationship is official severed as Stamkos, 34, has officially signed a four-year deal worth $8,000,000 with the Nashville Predators.
It is rumored that Stamkos was offered a long-term contract with Tampa Bay but was only at an annual value of $3 million. Stamkos reportedly felt disrespected by this and made the decision to move on.
It will be interesting to see how this fits as Nashville is reportedly one of the busiest teams in the NHL today trying to lock down multiple members and make significant changes for next season.
