Brett Pesce signs 35 million dollar contract

"When Brett Pesce's free-agent deal is finalized with #NJDevils, it's expected to come in at six years with an AAV in the $5.5M range." Johnston said.
Pesce, 29, was is a former 3rd round pick by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2013 and has spent his entire NHL career with the twam until this point, but now he's wanting a new challenge.
The New York native played in 70 games for Carolina in the 2023–24 regular season, recording 13 points (three goals, ten assists), 20 penalty minutes, and a plus–ten rating. In the next two Stanley Cup Playoff games, he added one assist.
