Nikita Kucherov gets away with a dirty hit on Kaiden Guhle
Amidst ongoing frustration with George Parros' tenure as head of the NHL Department of Player Safety, a recent incident has added fuel to the fire.
During a game at Bell Centre, Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning injured Montreal's Kaiden Guhle with a hit from behind late in the 2nd period.
Kucherov sees numbers here the entire way. Garbage hit and no call from the refs.
Despite Kucherov's status as the league's top scorer, the hit went unpunished, and he's not expected to face further discipline.
Not expecting any supplementary discipline for Nikita Kucherov.
The lack of accountability for such actions by a prominent player raises concerns about consistency in enforcing player safety regulations.
