Martin St. Louis watched his player Patrik Laine go down with a terrible injury at the hands of Cédric Paré last night.

By now, everyone knows what happened. Pare hit Laine with a knee-on-knee collision. It looked absolutely terrible and Laine was in agony. Overall, fans were livid with this and Pare is now public enemy number one in Montreal. As for Laine, he has to be evaluated today. Considering he left the game on crutches last night, it is not looking to good for the Finnish sniper.
Following the game, St. Louis had some strong words for the National Hockey League. Essentially, he believes the league is to blame for what went down. He claims that they never do anything about these kinds of hits and that it only makes sense that eventually, someone would get hurt.
"I said it before; the League doesn't care, it just keeps going. For us we have to keep going & that's what we're going to do. We'll see is this short-term? Long-term? We don't know. He's going to be evaluated and we'll keep going."
Only time will tell the full extent of Patrik Laine's injury. Given modern technology, it is safe to assume that we will know what happened by today. However, Habs fans are worried that it could be an ACL tear of some sort. Hopefully, it is something that won't take as long to come back from.
