Arber Xhekaj of the Montreal Canadiens went after Toronto Maple Leafs player Cédric Paré last night after the latter injured Patrik Laine.

It was the ultimate form of retaliation, although many felt like it was incredibly dangerous and downright reckless. Having said that, Xhekaj received a punishment earlier today. The NHL Department of Player Safety hit Xhekaj with a $3000 fine.
Now, fans are starting a GoFundMe in Xhekaj's honor. The money will go to the Angel Project Canada and the goal is in the same amount as Xhekaj's fine.
"Hey hockey fans, I would like to raise money to donate a completely random amount of money, let's say 3386$, to help Arber Xhekaj's favourite charity, the Angel Project Canada, who does great work for patients in long term care facilities. Anyone who is a fan of Arber and his work on and off the ice would be doing a great service by donating even a small amount of money.

More information about The Angel Project Canada: For over a decade we have been providing funding for medical, therapy and communication devices for patients in Long term Care Facilities. We provide ongoing support with personal hygiene and comfort items and gifts at Christmas! We pride ourselves in operating with minimal overhead. We are strictly volunteer!"

If you are interested in donating to the cause, you can do so right here.
