Patrik Laine got hit hard by Cedric Pare of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday and it led to a bad injury that forced him to leave the game.

After the knee-on-knee collision, Laine was seen throwing his helmet and his gloves in anger. It was a bad look and when he left the game on crutches, there was no doubt that fans got even more worried. You have to feel for someone like Laine, who was trying to really have a big year following some disappointing campaigns.
Another player who got injured in that game is none other than David Reinbacher who was a high-level draft pick for the Montreal Canadiens. Today, on 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman revealed some information on the two stars. He said that the full extent of the damage is unknown. However, what is known is that the team is preparing itself for the worst case scenario.
"Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts podcast says that as of Sunday night the Canadiens still did not know the extent of the damage to either Laine or Reinbacher. The team is 'hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.'"
An official update on Laine should be coming later today. However, we're sure Habs fans are waiting with bated breath right now. This is the worst injury that could have happened to their new star, and we are hoping that he is going to be okay.
