Matthew Tkachuk & Jayson Tatum reunite to recreate iconic childhood photo

Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics went to school together in St. Louis.

Overall, much has been made about these two going to school with one another. It makes sense considering they both won their first professional championships in the exact same year. Tatum won in 2024 with the Celtics while Tkachuk came through with a Stanley Cup for the Panthers.

If you know the history of these two, you have probably seen an old photo of both of them posing with each other on the school bus. Little did the photographer know who these two kids would turn into. This weekend, both athletes were reunited at a St. Louis Cardinals game where they both throughout the first pitch. Additionally, they made sure to recreate their iconic childhood photo.

What is extra cool about all of this is the fact that they invited the picture's third wheel. In the original image, there is a kid poking his head through in the back. In the recreation, that same person reclaims their place.

This was the ultimate piece of fan service, and we're sure it was fun for Tatum and Tkachuk to catch up with one another. As for their first pitches, you can check them out down below.
