Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers have had a terrible start to the NHL season as the team is 0-3.

The team got blown out by the Winnipeg Jets in the first game 6-0. In game two, the Oilers played the Chicago Blackhawks and got absolutely whooped 5-2. Last night, in the battle of Alberta, the Oilers lost again, this time by an atrocious score of 4-1.
Afer the game, McDavid stressed that the team is getting beat to the puck and along the boards, which is causing all of their issues.
"We are getting beat in a lot of battles. We're getting beat in a lot of different ways," McDavid admitted.

McDavid continued to criticize his team for a myriad of reasons. He feels like guys are not playing well with the puck, and that includes him. Turnovers are costing the team dearly, and the roster is well aware. However, McDavid vows for the team to get better.
"Puck play has been bad all over," McDavid said. "Guys fumbling it and not handling passes, (passes) in the air, passes behind guys It's just not good enough in terms of the puck play. When you are not clean with the puck it's tough to get the offence."

"Ultimately it hasn't been good enough," McDavid said. "Up and down the lineup, myself first and foremost. Everybody could be better and everybody will be better."

No matter how you look at it, this is a bad start for the Oilers. They need to be a whole lot better and if they aren't, there will be hell to pay with the fans. Hopefully, this is just a blip on the radar.
