Raphael Lavoie, previously of the Bakersfield Condors and the Edmonton Oilers, had a whirlwind week in the NHL.

It all started almost a week ago when Lavoie was put on waivers by the Oilers. He was quickly picked up by the Las Vegas Golden Knights. They put him on waivers knowing that if he cleared, they could send him down to their AHL affiliate. However, the Oilers claimed Lavoie instead. This was a bizarre move and yesterday, Lavoie was put on waivers again. However, it all finally came to an end on Friday.
"Oct. 6: Placed on waivers by Edmonton
Oct. 7: Claimed on waivers by Vegas
Oct. 8: Placed on waivers by Vegas
Oct. 9: Claimed on waivers by Edmonton
Oct. 10: Placed on waivers by Edmonton
Oct. 11: Claimed on waivers by Vegas"

Finally, he cleared Waivers and was sent down to the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League. It is here where Lavoie will get a new chance to prove himself and perhaps make some new friends around the hockey world. While he may not make the Golden Knights NHL roster anytime soon, he remains someone who has produced at a high level in the A.
Hopefully, Lavoie is able to make it stick out in Henderson. However, it is unfortunate that he had to go through all of this nonsense over the course of an entire week.
