This past Saturday saw the Detroit Red Wings and the Florida Panthers go head to head, and let's just say, things got pretty heated. There was no shortage of tension with players from both teams getting into it, pushing and shoving left and right.

The moment that really cranked up the intensity was when Jake Walman of the Red Wings landed a massive, and let's be honest, somewhat risky hit on Panthers' star Matthew Tkachuk. Walman's hit caught Tkachuk low, sending him flying over Walman and crashing down onto the ice in a way that had fans holding their breath.

Tkachuk ended up hitting the ice hard, with the back of his head and neck taking the brunt of it. It was one of those moments that looked pretty alarming in the moment. Miraculously though, Tkachuk was up on his feet in no time, skating off to the Panthers' bench on his own. The fact that he didn't leave the game is a huge relief and suggests he's shaken off the worst of it.
