Overall, he did a pretty good job of that. He scored over 20 goals and had over 60 points in an injury-shortened campaign. It was enough for fans to agree that the kid is the real deal. In fact, some believe that he could overtake Connor McDavid as the best player in the league. However, it is obviously going to take a while before he can reach that status.
Unfortunately, for Bedard, he is facing some hardships at training camp. According to reporter Mark Lazerus, Bedard had a run-in with Seth Jones. As you will read, Jones did a good job of handling Bedard, who is much smaller than him. Bedard got frustrated and banged his stick before heading back to the bench.
This isn't exactly a sign of things to come. However, it does show that Bedard does still have a long way to go before he can stand up to the big guys of the NHL. That is going to come with some time and some experience, so Blackhawks fans do not need to worry just yet.
Bedard is going to be a special player and there is no denying this. Over the coming years, we cannot wait to see Bedard and his greatness on full display. Hopefully, he continues to shut the doubters up and win some scoring titles. If there is one thing we know about this kid, it is that he is supremely talented.
