The Calgary Flames have snagged a defenseman from the Vegas Golden Knights.
On a recent Saturday, the Golden Knights decided to place undrafted defenceman Brayden Pachal on waivers, a move that raised eyebrows among some hockey enthusiasts. As anticipated, those concerns turned out to be valid, as Pachal has now been claimed by a rival team in the NHL.
As per a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Calgary Flames successfully claimed Pachal, adding him to their roster without any compensation going the way of the Golden Knights.
Pachal has seen action in 17 games this season for the Golden Knights, tallying 1 goal and no assists, amounting to a total of 1 point during that stretch. With 12 penalty minutes to his name, he currently holds a plus-minus rating of -2 for the season.
