Maple Leafs Practice Comes To A Halt As Ryan Reaves Faces Another Injury
Things might not be going as smoothly for veteran NHL enforcer Ryan Reaves in Toronto as he had hoped when he inked a three-year deal with the Maple Leafs last summer. Unfortunately, Reaves seems to be facing a string of challenges.
The latest hiccup occurred on Sunday during his first practice post-NHL All-Star break. Reaves took a hit, seemingly around his head or face, causing some disruption during practice.
While it's unclear what exactly happened, Reaves was seen favoring his face on the sidelines. He eventually headed back to the Maple Leafs locker room, likely for a check-up or treatment.
The incident was significant enough to pause the practice, as reported by Leafs correspondent David Alter. However, there is some relief in the news that Reaves returned to the ice and appears to be relatively okay.
Wearing a grey jersey during practice, it seems Reaves wasn't slated to play, even before the incident, in the upcoming game against the New York Islanders on Monday.
