The Boston Bruins Sign 6'5 Forward To A Two-Year Contract Mid-Season
The Boston Bruins have made a mid-season signing, adding a 6'5, 220-pound forward to their roster as a potential call-up option for the late-season push.
Yesterday, the Bruins announced the signing of forward Justin Brazeau to a two-year contract. Brazeau has spent the last three seasons playing for the Bruins' AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, and is now primed for a potential NHL call-up.
At 26 years old, Brazeau has yet to make his NHL debut, but with this contract, he's closer than ever. He has a solid background, having previously captained the North Bay Battalion in the OHL, played for the Toronto Marlies in the AHL, and excelled in the ECHL.
This season, Brazeau has racked up 37 points in 49 games, including a career-high 18 goals in the AHL. Now, he patiently waits for his chance to be called up to the big leagues with the Bruins. When that opportunity comes, Brazeau is determined to make the most of it.
