Now, Swayman is being called out by Neely in a pretty big way. In his comments to the media, which there will be more of later today, Neely said that if he were Swayman, he would be playing right now.
"I have 64 million reasons why I'd be playing right now."
If you are a Bruins fan, you can't help but feel like all of this has gone too far.
These are some wild comments to make, especially during contract negotiations. It is clear that the Bruins are trying to force Swayman's hand and get him to stop his holdout. Now, the ball is in his court and the Bruins are expecting a response. Only time will tell whether or not Neely's tactics here end up backfiring.
Do you believe that it is a bad idea for Cam Neely to call out his goaltender like this?
