Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins cannot agree to the terms on a new contract and as a result, fans are getting very nervous.

Yesterday, in the new Amazon Prime series "Faceoff," Swayman admitted that during the 2023 arbitration, he felt like the Bruins did not value him. They said he could not get it done in the playoffs, and he was offended by that statement.
Bruins Network, an outlet dedicated to covering the B's, is telling Swayman to shut up and get over it. As they noted, the team traded away a Vezina goaltender, because they like what they see from Swayman. That should be enough of an endorsement to feel valued.
"As someone who wants Swayman to sign an eight-year deal- time to get over it. Boston didn't even file for arbitration, Swayman and his agent did. Arbitration sucks and this was said during spring, but he brings it up like he's the only player to ever go through it.

"FWIW I'm not trying to vilify Swayman. This is what, the third, fourth time bringing up how his ego got bruised/feelings got hurt? Boston opted for a one-year deal (instead of two), which got you back at the table sooner, and traded a Vezina-winning goalie. They believe in you."

Only time will tell what happens here but for now, it is not looking so good. It just goes to show that both Swayman and the Bruins have a lot of flaws between them right now.
