Expressing gratitude for his time in Providence, Richard eagerly anticipated the chance to hit the ice alongside seasoned veterans.
"I was waiting for my chance, so I'm really happy to be here," he said.
Confident in his ability to contribute, Richard, set to make only his 16th NHL appearance, highlighted his recent career resurgence. Despite limited opportunities with the
Nashville Predators from 2018 to 2020, Richard saw more action with the
Montreal Canadiens last season.
"Since Christmas, my game has been the best I've played in pro hockey," he affirmed.
With expectations building for his debut, Richard is expected to strengthen the Bruins' fourth line, though his solid penalty kill performance for Providence suggests a potential expanded role. As the Bruins approach a critical juncture in the season, all eyes are on Richard as he prepares to make his mark in the NHL. The stage is set for a significant addition to the Bruins' lineup as Richard's journey unfolds on Saturday.
