The Anaheim Ducks have signed Cutter Gauthier to his entry-level contract. The deal begins right away.
Gauthier, originally picked fifth overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 NHL Draft, made waves when he chose not to engage with the Flyers, prompting a trade to the Ducks in exchange for Jamie Drysdale.
The 20-year-old forward has been turning heads in the NCAA, where he led all players with an impressive 38 goals this season, adding 27 assists to rack up 65 points in just 41 games.
Gauthier also stirred up some controversy before the National Championship game, making bold remarks about Denver, only for his team to fall 2-0 in the final showdown.
