The Anaheim Ducks find themselves in hot water today following a controversial social media post.

Last night, the Anaheim Ducks made a social media post that has ignited a storm of controversy. During their game against the Arizona Coyotes, defenseman Radko Gudas delivered a massive hit to Coyotes star Clayton Keller.

Naturally, this play caught attention, leading the Anaheim Ducks to share the video on their social media platform. The controversy erupted when they included a caption with the video.

"Beware the Butcher.

#FlyTogether"

The mention of 'The Butcher' in the caption stirred strong reactions, as it reminded many of the tragic incident involving Adam Johnson. Given the sensitive nature of this topic, the post was deemed highly offensive.

As the tweet began gaining traction, numerous individuals pointed out the insensitivity of the post. Ian Kennedy, a writer for The Hockey News, voiced his concern on social media, calling out the Ducks for their inappropriate post.

"Given the tragic events in hockey this week, and the anxiety some people would have seeing both of Gudas' skates narrowly missing Keller, I'd hope the Ducks social media team might have slightly more awareness in putting out a post this week with that phrase."

As of now, the Ducks have not addressed the post or removed it. While it may not have been their intention, it has raised significant controversy, and addressing the matter may help everyone move forward from this incident.
