Anaheim Ducks Make Major Announcement Involving Trevor Zegras
Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras had to exit Tuesday night's game against the Nashville Predators during the first period due to an apparent left ankle injury.
In his 200th NHL game, Zegras slid feet-first into the side boards with 13:35 remaining in the first period. Unfortunately, he couldn't put any weight on his left skate as he was assisted off the ice.
As the second period began, the Anaheim Ducks announced that Trevor Zegras would not return for the remainder of the game.
Zegras, 22, had a notable performance in Anaheim's recent game, scoring two goals in a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. Before Tuesday's game, he had seven points (four goals, three assists) in 19 games this season.
Stay tuned for more updates on Zegras' injury.
