Massive Trade Speculations Surround Anaheim Ducks Star
When the Anaheim Ducks played hardball with Trevor Zegras, fans questioned their approach in negotiating with their franchise player. Although Zegras eventually signed after a brief holdout, it now becomes evident why Anaheim took such a firm stance Zegras might not be a part of the Ducks' long-term plans.
Less than 24 hours after trading former top pick Jamie Drysdale, it seems the Ducks' restructuring efforts are ongoing. According to Darren Dreger of TSN, the Ducks are currently exploring trade options for Zegras.
If the Ducks decide to move Zegras, their strategy would likely involve rebuilding around a core of players like Cutter Gauthier and Leo Carlsson, along with whoever they select in the upcoming NHL Draft.
This season has been a significant disappointment for the Ducks, who aimed for a major step forward but once again find themselves near the bottom of the Western Conference.
