As the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks work on a trade, it appears that teams are keeping insiders on the tip of their toes throughout the NHL summer.

Two days have passed since the Stanley Cup final's seventh game, and it appears that thirty other NHL teams are moving quickly to complete moves.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks are reportedly negotiating on a late-night trade that would transfer Ilya Mikheyev, Sam Lafferty's rights, and the Blackhawks' second-round pick. The terms of the deal are unknown. This information comes from Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Hearing Chicago and Vancouver working on a deal that will create cap room for the Canucks potentially involving Ilya Mikheyev and rights to Sam Lafferty, with a second-round pick as a sweetener

However, there appears to be a hold up, as Ilya Mikheyev has not waived his no trade clause to go to Chicago and the Blackhawks are on his no trade list according to Rick Dhaliwal of The Athletic Vancouver.

Mikehev has not yet approved the trade to Chicago, he has a no-trade.

If the deal go through, the return to Vancouver is a 4th round pick as per Frank Seravalli.

Ilya Mikheyev hasn't formally agreed to waive his no-trade clause yet to go to #Blackhawks, but provided he does, teams have agreement in place on a trade:

To #Blackhawks: Ilya Mikheyev, 2nd Rd Pick, pending UFA Sam Lafferty

To #Canucks: 4th Rd Pick
