The Minnesota Wild And Pittsburgh Penguins Complete Massive Trade
In what started as a seemingly quiet day in the NHL, the trade front has come alive with a deal between the Minnesota Wild and the Pittsburgh Penguins, involving defenseman Will Butcher.
Butcher, who has yet to hit the ice for the Penguins and played only 14 games with their minor team WBS due to injury, now gets a significant opportunity with the Minnesota Wild.
In return, the Penguins have acquired Maxim Cajkovic, a minor league player who has spent most of the season in the ECHL, boasting 17 points in 20 games. Cajkovic recently joined Iowa and has contributed 3 points in 5 games, likely serving as a depth piece for the Penguins' farm team WBS.
With the trade deadline looming in the next month, it seems the NHL is gearing up for more moves, so hockey fans, don't get too comfortable just yet!
