Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens complete a trade
Tonight the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators kicked off the end of the off season by completing a minor move. According to Cap Friendly the Montreal Canadiens have acquired Jakov Novak from the Ottawa Senators. The Senators will receive future considerations in exchange for the former 7th round pick.
Jakov Novak was drafted by the Sens 188th overall in 2018. Novak has played for Northeastern University of the NCAA and the Allan Americans of the ECHL last season. In 14 games for Allan, Novak scored seven goals and added five assists.
Allan is 6'3 and 215 pounds and can provide a physical presence when necessary. The Riverside, Ontario native will look to potentially play for the Laval Rockets of the AHL next season or the ECHL's Trois-Rivières Lions.
