NHL Player Safety has officially announced Carson Soucy's suspension

During the Canucks Vs. Oilers game three, Carson Soucy cross-checked Connor McDavid directly in the face and now the NHL Department of Player Safety has announced his suspension.


The Stanley Cup Playoffs are usually when you see players become more aggressive during games, and as of this year we have witness many altercations, but during game three of the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers series Connor McDavid got back-to-back cross-checks from Nikita Zadorov and Carson Soucy that were clearly dirty.

The NHL Department of Player Safety has officially announced its first fine of the playoffs that was handed out to Nikita Zadorov and also announced a hearing for Carson Soucy.



Vancouver's Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.

Vancouver's Carson Soucy will have a hearing for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid. Date and time TBD.

The NHL Department of Player Safety has now announced that Soucy would be suspended for his cross-check on McDavid.

Due to the circumstances of Soucy's cross-check and it being after the game was over, it's clear on why he received the suspension he did.

Vancouver's Carson Soucy has been suspended for one playoff game for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid.

With the Canucks being Up 2-1 in the series, they will have to win a few more games if they want to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
