Tragic news strikes as Alexander Reichenberg passes away at 31
The hockey community is mourning today as we learned of the untimely passing of Alexander Reichenberg at the age of 31. The cause of his death is currently unknown.
Although Reichenberg never realized his NHL dreams, his passion for hockey took him across Europe, and he even competed on the world's biggest stage at the Olympics.
We regret to announce the passing of professional hockey player and former player of the Norweigian National Team, Alexander Reichenberg at the age of 31.
Reichenberg had 21 goals, 44 points through 41 games played with Lillehammer in the Norweigian league this season. He also had stints in Czechia, Sweden, and Austria in his career.
With Norway's national team, he played 50 games, including suiting up at the 2018 Olympic Games. He had 11 goals, 24 points in that span.
