Hockey Canada Names Assistant Coaches for 2025 Four Nations Face-off

With Jon Cooper at the helm as head coach for Team Canada, Hockey Canada has announced the addition of four assistant coaches for the upcoming Four Nations Face-off in February 2025. The tournament, which will be held in Montreal and Boston, will feature top hockey nations competing for glory.
Joining Cooper are Bruce Cassidy of the Vegas Golden Knights, Rick Tocchet of the Vancouver Canucks, and Peter DeBoer and Misha Donskov of the Dallas Stars. Completing the coaching staff is James Emery of Hockey Canada, who will serve as the video coach.
"The coaching staff was selected by Cooper, general manager Don Sweeney (St. Stephen, NB/Boston, NHL), associate GM Jim Nill (Hanna, AB/Dallas, NHL), assistant GM Julien BriseBois (Greenfield Park, QC/Tampa Bay, NHL) and director of player personnel Kyle Dubas (Sault Ste. Marie, ON/Pittsburgh, NHL), with support from Scott Salmond (Creston, BC), senior vice-president of high performance and hockey operations."
Don Sweeney expressed his confidence in the assembled coaching team:
"We believe we have assembled an elite group of coaches and support staff that will be key contributors to Team Canada's success as we continue to prepare for international competition this season. Each individual brings unique experience to our team that will prepare our players to be at their best, and we know everyone is excited for the opportunity to wear the Maple Leaf with pride."
Canada will open the Four Nations Face-off on February 12, 2025, against Sweden in Montreal. Following that, they will face Team USA on February 15 and Finland on February 17. The tournament will conclude with the championship game on February 20 in Boston. The full roster for Team Canada will be announced between November 29 and December 2.
This coaching lineup promises to bring a wealth of experience and strategic acumen to the team, enhancing Canada's chances of capturing the championship at this prestigious international event.
