Simone Biles robbed of another gold medal following egregious injustice

If you remember correctly, Chiles asked for a review of her score, which ultimately bumped her up to a bronze medal. However, her appeal was appealed by the Romanians who lost out on the bronze. Eventually, it was decided that Chiles had made her appeal four seconds too late, and she was stripped of her medal.

Many saw this as a massive injustice, and now, the decision is being appealed at the Swiss Federal Tribunal. It is here where Chiles hopes to get her medal back. Having said that, it is now being reported that Biles was also a victim in all of this.

She won silver in the event and was just 0.033 points behind the winner, Rebeca Andrade of Brazil. However, new footage showcases that she also put in a score appeal that would have given her an extra 0.1 points and would have propelled her to a win. In the footage, it is revealed that the judges never received the appeal, even though they were supposed to.

Her appeal was completely ignored, and it cost her a gold medal. It is all very confusing and one has to wonder what was going on during this event. There are now two cases of something like this happening, and they both took place against American gymnasts. Only time will tell how this all shapes out and if Chiles gets her medal back.
