Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau tragically passed away just over a month ago after being hit by a drunk driver in Sean Higgins.

Overall, their passing has proven to be one of the saddest stories in all of sports, and fans are trying to understand how such a thing could have happened to two good young people. Their family has been left to pick up the pieces and now, they are filing a motion to protect the brothers' privacy.

NJ.com has reported that the Gaudreau family filed a motion in court to try to prevent the release of records, including 911 calls, videos, photos, autopsy images, or investigative reports related to their deaths. Requesting this type of information is common practice with media organizations.

Essentially, they don't want the gruesome details of their deaths to be made public. This makes a lot of sense as it could stir up controversy and negative emotions. The very same happened with the deaths of Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant after they died in a tragic helicopter accident. Hopefully, the court sides with the Gaudreaus although in these matters, they typically do side with the victim's family.

The court filing focuses on the release of records and says the estates of the Gaudreau brothers would suffer irreparable harm should this sensitive and private material be disclosed to the public.
