Tragic News: Former OHL Player Pat Montgomery and Wife Andrieana Victims of Homicide
In a heartbreaking incident over the weekend, former Oshawa Generals forward Pat Montgomery and his wife Andrieana were tragically killed in a homicide in Ontario. The Durham Regional Police shared the devastating news in a social media post, revealing that both victims were found dead on Saturday.
The accused, identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. According to the police, Gordon was known to both Pat and Andrieana Montgomery, but the motive for the crime remains unknown, and it is not considered a domestic-related incident.
"42-year-old Patrick Montgomery and 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery have been identified as the victims in yesterday's homicide.
The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon.
Mark Gordon, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with First Degree Murder x2.
He has been held for a Bail Hearing.
The accused is known to both victims however the motive behind the murders is still under investigation. This is not a domestic-related incident," Durham Regional Police said in a statement.
TSN baseball reporter Scott Mitchell, who has known Pat and Andrieana since Grade 9, expressed his sorrow in a personal note, describing Pat Montgomery as an absolute gem and a legend with the OHL's Oshawa Generals.

These are my friends of 30 years going way back to grade 9.
My friends and I are still trying to wrap our minds around this senseless tragedy but I wanna say this: Pat Montgomery was an absolute gem and an @Oshawa_Generals legend.
RIP my boy 💔" Mitchell said.
Montgomery spent three seasons in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals, recording 38 points in 175 games before moving on to play university hockey in Canada with Brock University. He later played semi-professional and senior hockey in Ontario with teams like the Brantford Blast, Whitby Dunlops, and Norwood Vipers.
