The Anaheim Ducks and Pat Verbeek might have a busy summer ahead of them. According to reports, the squad is prepared to consider trade proposals for one of their star forwards.

Anaheim Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek recently spoke with Pierre LeBrun of TSN & The Athletic to talk about potential summer plans for the organization.
The TSN insider has learned that the Ducks are considering offers for star forward Trevor Zegras, who had a difficult 202324 season because of injuries, despite Verbeek not saying so directly to LeBrun.
"And finally, Trevor Zegras trade chatter has resurfaced. Verbeek would not comment on that, but other league sources suggest the Ducks are listening on him and would consider moving him in the right deal. They're obviously deeper up front, which is why they could afford to move him." LeBrun said.

In his piece for The Athletic, LeBrun said, "The Montreal Canadiens have come full circle and are in talks with the Anaheim Ducks regarding Trevor Zegras." LeBrun did, however, add that he doesn't think the Canadiens will go for Zegras hard.
"I also believe Anaheim and Montreal have re-connected on Zegras, however, I'm not convinced that's a path the Habs will ultimately pursue aggressively." LeBrun said.

Due to injury, Zegras, 23, was only able to play in 31 games this season. In those games, he finished with 15 points (six goals, nine assists), 30 penalty minutes, and a minus-1 rating. Trevor Zegras may attract a lot of attention in the upcoming weeks, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him wearing a different uniform come opening night of the 202425 season.
