Even though Craig Berube is no longer leading the St. Louis Blues, it's evident that fans still hold a special place for him, and Jordan Kyrou learned that the hard way.

When asked about Berube's dismissal, Kyrou chose to keep it brief, saying,

"I've got no comment. He's not my coach anymore."
While Kyrou may have aimed for a neutral stance, the fans weren't pleased. In the subsequent Blues home game, he faced boos from the crowd, a moment that clearly affected Kyrou as he fought back tears post-game.

Despite the unintended fallout, Kyrou clarified,

"Obviously, I respect (Berube). He's been my coach the whole time I've been here. I respect everything he's done here. He's done a great job, he won a Cup. All I really meant was I'm just trying to focus on my future and focus on what I can do to help my team win."

Berube, responding to Kyrou's comments, urged fans to be understanding, saying,

"That's tough. I don't think he meant anything by his comments. It's hard, and I feel for him. Getting boo'ed like that isn't easy on anybody. Listen, for me personally, I don't have an issue with it. Jordan and I, when we talked, it was fine. It was never not fine. Maybe he didn't say exactly what he wanted to say to me all the time, but it is what it is. Sometimes relationships can be rocky. They're not always going to be great. But for me, I'm fine with everything. It is what it is."

In addition to addressing the situation with Kyrou, Berube mentioned that he plans to spend time with his family for now but is not ruling out coaching if an opportunity arises with a team that wants him.
