In a special ceremony at the Bell Center, where Dr. David Mulder was honored for his 60-year connection with the Montreal Canadiens, a revelation about Carey Price's career-ending knee injury came to light.

Dr. Mulder shared that the complexities of Price's injury surpassed the initial understanding. While undergoing surgery for a meniscus injury in New York, surgeons discovered a more serious issue Carey Price's femur had lost all its cartilage.
Clarifying the situation, Dr. Mulder stated,
"He had a meniscus injury, so we sent him to New York for an operation, and during it, the surgeon found that the femur had lost all of its cartilage. It was a surprise, and that's what ended his career."
This unexpected turn marked a regrettable conclusion to the star goaltender's illustrious career, providing clarity on the circumstances that led to the end of Carey Price's time on the ice and dispelling doubts about the Canadiens' medical staff's role.
