Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Suffers Brutal Injury After Crashing Into Boards
The Toronto Maple Leafs are in full swing, putting their all into clinching home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
While they're hot on the heels of the Boston Bruins, staying injury-free has become a growing concern. After losing Mitch Marner to a high ankle sprain, the team faced another blow during tonight's clash with the Philadelphia Flyers: Calle Jarnkrok sustained what looked to be a serious injury.
During the game, Jarnkrok found himself in a precarious situation, crashing into the boards in a manner that left fans holding their breath.
The incident, which saw him awkwardly fold as he hit the boards, led to him immediately exiting the ice, visibly in pain and favoring his shouldera worrisome sight given his history with shoulder issues.
