NHL Star Undergoes Major Surgery That'll affect His Year
Vegas Golden Knights Jack Eichel recently underwent lower-body surgery, sidelining him week-to-week. Eichel's absence dates back to January 11th against the Boston Bruins.
Despite the setback, Eichel showcased his skills this season, contributing 19 goals and 44 points in 42 games for the defending Stanley Cup champions.
Eichel joins a growing injury list for Vegas, which already includes Adin Hill, William Karlsson, William Carrier, and Shea Theodore. Thankfully, all injured players are expected to make a full recovery ahead of the playoffs.
Similar to last year's Colorado Avalanche, Vegas faces challenges testing their organizational depth. It underscores the toughness of pursuing a Stanley Cup in the competitive landscape of the NHL.
