The Florida Panthers and Anaheim Ducks clashed on Monday afternoon in a game that turned out to be quite intense.

It was a high-scoring and rough affair, culminating in a 5-4 overtime victory. Radko Gudas made his return, setting the tone for both teams.

In the first period, Florida took the lead 2-1 with a power-play goal and a shorthanded goal. Alex Killorn narrowed the gap with his first goal of the night.

The second period saw the Ducks' Henrique leveling the score, but the Panthers regained a 4-2 lead with goals from Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett. Jakob Silfverberg's late goal for the Ducks kept it close.

Troy Terry tied the game 4-4 early in the third, leading to a scoreless remainder until overtime.

The game featured 15 penalties, including a late second-period clash with matching minors for Bennett and Killorn. A mid-third period altercation involved Bennett, Matthew Tkachuk, Frank Vatrano, and Mason McTavish, each receiving two minutes for roughing.

In overtime, Killorn scored the game-winner, seizing a 3 on 2 opportunity. Post-game, Killorn and Vatrano exchanged words with Florida fans, apparently in response to trash thrown on the ice.

An account mentioned,

"some Cats fans threw trash on the ice/at Killorn after the game-winning goal; I've heard it also hit Fowler too."

Vatrano might face league repercussions for gesturing to fans, but considering the reported incidents, the Ducks' frustration seems justified.
