Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins have made a last-minute addition to their roster ahead of their rivalry matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers.

According to multiple reports, the Penguins will be adding forward Emil Bemstrom to the roster for the game against the Flyers.
This season in the AHL Bemstrom has been great for the Wilke-Barre/Scranton Penguins tallying 46 points in 43 games for the team.
During that time he has become a veteran leader on the AHL Penguins squad and found his offensive flair again after mostly being a depth forward in his previous stops and season in the NHL.
This has now earned him yet another call-up with the Penguins after playing 2 games earlier this season and 24 with the club the year before.
Bemstrom is a great player to add to the lineup when players go down with injury or if the team just needs a shakeup.
For head coach Mike Sullivan he will be able to fill many roles and be used up and down the lineup when needed.
At 25 years old Bemstrom is still young enough to potentially take that next step in his development but likely will continue to just be a swiss army knife kind of player throughout his career.
It will be fun to see if this stint with the Penguins will be enough for Bemstrom to prove to Kyle Dubas and the Penguins front office that he deserves a place in the NHL long-term.
With Bemstrom added he now will have an opportunity to play in the upcoming games but will not be making his re-debut tonight against the Flyers.
