As the Canucks and predators continue to battle out their playoff series, Vancouver mayor Ken Sim has made the decision that there will be no public viewings forCanucks playoffs in the city due to safety concerns.

"There will be no public gatherings to watch the Canucks' playoff games in Vancouver due to security concerns."

These concerns are solely driven on the fact that in 1994 and in 2011 the Canucks were in the Stanley Cup finals where they had lost both series and the city ended up having a full-blown riot on their hands.
Sim has stated that he would love to throw a party for the Canucks but the city needs to be responsible and is clearly reluctant on throwing a public event.
The Canucks-Predators series now switches gears to Smashville has the series remains tied 1-1. It remains to be seen on whether the Canucks can overcome the knee injury of starting goaltender Thatcher Demko who has been monumental in the rise of the Canucks after a dreadful season last year.
Casey DeSmith will need to rise to the occasion and hope the Canucks can overcome this major blow.
Game 3 will be held on April 26th and game time will be 7:30 PM eastern.
