He was a former first-round pick of the Leafs, however, he has not been the player that the team was hoping for. Instead, he has found himself out of the lineup to start the season. This is ultimately what has led to a lot of the trade rumors surrounding the player. While he still has gas left in the tank, it would appear as though he would be better off somewhere else.
As it stands, the team is shopping him around, and finally, a reporter asked Liljegren how he feels about all of this. Unsurprisingly, he seems unbothered and is just waiting to see what happens.
As for his focus right now, Liljegren has made it clear that he just wants to think about making the roster right now. It seems like Liljegren could finally get a start soon, but there is no guarantee. Craig Berube has made some bold lineup changes so far, and it should be interesting to see how it all plays out.
