While some teams are adjusting their lineups on the ice, others are making big moves off it. One such team is the Seattle Kraken, who have just announced they're moving on from Dave Hakstol, the only head coach in the franchise's brief history.
Hakstol led the Kraken through three seasons, managing to clinch a playoff spot last year. He wraps up his tenure with a record of 107-112-27. General Manager Ron Francis gave the following comment on the decision.
With this change, the Kraken are kicking off what looks to be an extensive search for a new head coach, aiming to boost their playoff chances in the coming seasons.
