Kevin Hayes Of The St. Louis Blues Continues Ongoing Tribute To His Brother
Kevin and Jimmy Hayes shared a dream of making it big in the NHL, but tragically, Jimmy's life was cut short by an apparent overdose in August 2021. Despite the loss, Kevin continues to honor his brother's memory every time he hits the ice.
Tonight, in their hometown of Boston, Kevin, now playing for the St. Louis Blues, scored a goal. As has become customary since his brother's passing, he pointed to the sky in tribute.
Losing a sibling is never easy, but the grace with which Kevin honors his brother is both admirable and touching. Whether you're a Blues fan or not, knowing their story or experiencing something similar, it's hard not to root for Kevin and the Hayes family.
Addiction and mental health struggles are tough battles, and no one should face them alone. If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out for help. Your loved ones would undoubtedly prefer to have you with them than the alternative.
