The Philadelphia Flyers head coach has had enough of fan's comments
The Philadelphia Flyers were riding a wave of strong performances in recent games, but as they navigate through a rebuilding phase, a rough patch was bound to hit.
Facing off against the Anaheim Ducks, another team in a similar rebuilding boat, the Flyers fell short, losing 7-4. In the net for the Flyers was Samuel Ersson, who, unfortunately, took the brunt of the disappointment. Bronx cheers echoed through the arena, even after routine saves.
Head coach John Tortorella didn't mince words when asked about the game and the crowd's reaction. It's clear he wasn't pleased with either.
"What Sam had to go through out there with the Bronx cheers was bull shit. The game doesn't fall on one person."
While losses like these are part of the learning process, they serve as a reminder that despite recent strong performances, there's a long road ahead in terms of growth and development.
The Flyers will have a chance at redemption in their next game scheduled for Monday, October 30th, against the Carolina Hurricanes. Puck drops at 7:00 PM Eastern time.
