Ottawa Senators Promising Young Talent Suffers Possible Season-Ending Injury
The Ottawa Senators, who seem set to miss the playoffs for the seventh consecutive year, are facing another setback.
One of their promising young talents, who has been plagued by injuries, is sidelined once again. This time, the injury could have significant implications for his career.
Interim head coach Jacques Martin shared an update with the media on Thursday, keeping the details sparse. He did reveal, however, that Josh Norris would be out for an extended period, with more information to be provided in due course.
It's understood that Norris has undergone an MRI on his left shoulder, an area that has previously required surgery twice and has seen him miss a total of 41 games in the last season and a half.
Norris, who has managed to play fifty games for the Senators this season, has been a key player, operating between Ridley Greig and Drake Batherson. His contribution of sixteen goals and fourteen assists, totaling thirty points, will undoubtedly be missed by the team and its fans.
