New York Islanders Place Former First Round Pick On Waivers
According to a report from JFresh, it turns out that Julien Gauthier, a forward for the New York Islanders, is the third-fastest player in the whole NHL.
Despite this, he found himself on waivers Friday. The Islanders decided to put him on the waiver wire, as mentioned by Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet.
Gauthier, a former first-round pick from the 2016 NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes, made his way to New York after a brief time in Carolina, four seasons with the New York Rangers, and a one-season stint with the Ottawa Senators. He joined the Islanders as a free agent this past July.
