Montreal Canadiens David Savard Nets An Unbelievable Goal Against Predators
In a matchup against the Nashville Predators, Canadiens defenseman David Savard stunned everyone with what could easily be the craziest goal of the season.
During the dying moments of the second period, a routine faceoff near center ice turned into a jaw-dropping moment. Savard gained possession of the puck after a tussle with a Predators forward and fired it into the corner, looking to maintain control in the zone. But what happened next was pure chaos.
The puck ricocheted off the glass stanchion in the corner, taking an unexpected path straight towards the net. With Nashville goalie Jusse Saros caught off-guard behind the net, the puck found its way into the goal.
«DAVID SAVARD JUST SCORED FROM CENTRE ICE»
This goal is nothing short of bizarre and will surely go down as one of the most unique moments of the season, the kind of play you'd expect to see in a video game but never in real life.
«OMG. We have a candidate for weirdest goal of the year--for David Savard. 2-2.»
While the NHL doesn't have an official award for the most unconventional goal, if they did, Savard would undoubtedly be the frontrunner for this incredible feat.
