Montreal Canadiens Fan Favourite Has Been Sent To The Minors
The Montreal Canadiens have made a roster move, opting to send Arber Xhekaj, one of their regular players, to the minors.
"After being activated off IR, the Canadiens have decided to loan Arber Xhekaj to the Laval Rocket."
Xhekaj, who has been sidelined for the last seven games with an upper-body injury, participated in the Canadiens' practice today, marking his return to the ice.
This move to Laval is likely a conditioning stint to ensure he's fully ready to rejoin the Canadiens' lineup.
The decision follows Xhekaj's injury in a mid-November game, where he took a hit from Ivan Barbashev.
