BREAKING: Massive Changes Coming To The Los Angeles Kings Next Season
The National Hockey League is set for a uniform shakeup next season as Fanatics takes the reins from Adidas. Initially, it was anticipated that teams would maintain their current uniforms for the 2024-25 season. However, reports suggest that the Los Angeles Kings might be considering a change.
According to Mayor's Manor, the Kings are exploring the possibility of a uniform switch as early as next season. The most likely scenario is transitioning their current 1990s throwback alternate uniform to become the new away jersey. Simultaneously, they may introduce a new black uniform to be worn at home at Crypto.com Arena.
"Looking ahead to the two-jersey limit for next season, the league prefers home and road jerseys with the same crest, easing manufacturing. If Fanatics indeed limits teams to two jerseys next season, the Kings must decide whether to (a) keep the current home/road combo mostly as is, ditching the chrome kit, or (b) shift to the white alternate jersey as the new road sweater and introduce a black version for home games.
Based on current information, it appears the Kings are leaning toward the latter option, signaling a return to the '90s era crest as their primary logo next season,"
stated Mayor's Manor.
Additionally, the Kings conducted TV testing on potential new uniforms, including variations of their existing design with font and font color changes. One concept featured silver, reminiscent of the 1990s.
