Red Wings Release Major Announcement Regarding Their Captain's Injury
The Detroit Red Wings have found themselves in a tough spot over the last two weeks, enduring a seven-game losing streak. This slump has completely erased their previous nine-point cushion in the standings, putting their playoff aspirations in jeopardy.
To compound the team's difficulties, they've been without their captain, Dylan Larkin, whose absence has visibly impacted the team's performance on the ice. The Red Wings have looked out of sync, casting doubts on their ability to secure a playoff spot.
However, there's a silver lining as Larkin has returned to practice with the team, though he's slated to miss the upcoming matches against the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
"Larkin (lower body injury) will miss at least the next two games. #RedWings have lost five in a row without him, seven straight overall and are 2-9-0 this season without Larkin."
Before his injury in a clash with the Florida Panthers, Larkin had been enjoying a solid season, tallying 26 goals and 28 assists.
