Bruins Release Major Update Regarding Linus Ullmark's Future With The Team
Despite Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark forming a formidable duo between the pipes, there's been continuous chatter about the possibility of the Boston Bruins shaking things up with a trade, particularly with Ullmark's name floating around.
But, it looks like those rumors can be put to bed. A well-connected Bruins insider recently shed light on the situation, making it clear that Ullmark isn't going anywhere this season.
Between his no-trade list that includes 16 teams and the undeniable chemistry he's got with Swayman, it just doesn't make sense to break up such a successful pairing.
The insider was pretty straightforward, saying,
"The #NHLBruins are not trading Linus Ullmark during this season. It is the strength of the team and they aren't going to piss it away especially at this point. Ullmark also has a 16 team no trade list."
This basically means that while the Bruins are in a good spot and likely looking to make some moves to secure their position as a top contender, trading Ullmark isn't part of the plan.
So, what's next for the Bruins? They've been doing great, but there's always room for improvement, especially if they want to stay ahead of the competition. The team's looking at beefing up their defense and adding some firepower upfront. However, with Ullmark off the trading block, they'll have to figure out another way to bring in new talent.
Rumor has it they've got their eyes on someone like Noah Hanifin to fill in the gaps. But regardless of what moves they end up making, it's clear that trading Ullark just doesn't fit into the equation right now, though who knows what the summer might bring.
