The NHL Has Officially Announced Their Replacement Hydration Partner
Despite losing several partners recently, the NHL hasn't missed a beat, swiftly finding new ones to keep the momentum going. Last year, the league was in a bit of a bind when BioSteel, one of its partners, went under financial duress and sought bankruptcy protection. This move came after the company reportedly started losing money following their NHL deal.
Not one to sit idle, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and the league quickly pivoted, ending their search for a new partner with the announcement of Body Armor as the official hydration partner for the upcoming season. This scoop was confirmed by David Pagnotta, marking a fresh start for the NHL.
This new partnership isn't just timely; it's strategic, arriving on the cusp of negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). With players eyeing a favorable deal, the addition of Body Armor could play a key role in shaping the league's financial dynamics moving forward.
